and she realized something was wrong. We have seen other animal babies start thrashing with passing away and the other pick them up in their mouth and walk around with them...or pass away and the others pick them up, pull on them or nudge them.
Also, I know its not pleasant to think, but one animal that dies often is looked as as food for another.
I am sorry he has passed away, I know you gave him all the chances a dragon with so much going on could have had.
