Just thought I'd point out that 'pregnant' is a mammalian term. 'Gravid' is the term used for reptiles.
I doubt that your Mali is old enough to breed being only 8" long. For a gravid Uro, you need somewhere in the viv with a deep layer of damp (not wet)burrowing substrate. This can be accessable (to the Uros) through a tube. This must be put in the viv a long time before the Uro is ready to lay, so that they can become used to it, and the female realises it to be a good place to lay.
