I do know how to take care of the African Clawed frog. Just wondering if you know if it's a dwarf or not and wondering what color it is. The frogs do best in an almost full tank of water like a fish with gravel and a filter and air bubbles. They breathe air so you need to leave about an inch of water from the top but they do not survive long on land. I say this because they do escape and jump and I have found them alive on the carpet in the past usually ok to just dust off and put back in tank. If it seems ill then put in a shallow container for a few days with little water so it's easy for it to get air. They usually eat freeze dried tubifex or bloodworms. I no longer have my frog friends as they all died separately after various vacations (uncle has bad luck). But my lost recent freen dwarfs did not eat the tubifex but loved the loose freeze dried bloodworms. If you have a dwarf they're more docile it's ok to put it in with hardy fish like mollies. We had a bunch of non dwarfs before with fancy tailed goldfish and they literaly grabbed their tails and rode with the fish in the tank, some say the non dwarfs will eat the fish but i think if the fish are bigger it will be ok. The frogs have always outlasted our fish because they don't seem to get the ick or at least not as easily. They like the water temperature warmer like 75-78 if it gets lower in the 60's they'll be ok but they slow down. sorry this is so long let me know if you want more info | ||
