Hi guys,
Just to give you a heads up!
I purchased the product for my 29-gallon screen covered aquarium and let it run all night. I am quite happy with the results! Before I started, my humidity was slightly below 30 and I'd mist several times a day. I covered half my screen with a drying towel to keep in humidity but that didn't work at all for me.
I purchased the Tropic-Aire product with a 40-gallon air pump (advised by some to go larger than your tank size) and covered my screen with shower curtain material. (NOTE: If you buy this product AND a pump, check to see if the pump has one or two plugs. If it has two plugs, buy the 'T shaped' adaptor piece that connects one tube to two plugs!!!) Since I'm using a lamp that lays right on top of the screen, I had to cut a whole in the shower curtain for the lamp. I taped the sides of the shower curtain to the screen in order to keep in the humidity. I knew I would lose some humidity but that's OK since I had no choice but to cut a hole in the shower curtain for my lamp.
The humidity is now at 50 and I'm very happy. Wish it were more but 50 has me smiling nonetheless, especially since it was below 30 beforehand. The temp on the cool side has been steady at 85.
I'm going to go play with my balls now
