that is what i refer to when talking about ventilation. you need to minimize it, not maximize it 
for that glass tank, i may set it up so that it has 2 or 3 square INCHES of venting, period! the rest cover with towels, foil, plastic, whatever (perhaps a different solid lid altogether), but right now you have just built a dehydrator, and that is working against you, your animal, and your soil.
on the monitor forum, they call that a beef jerky machine, and your Uro ends up being the beef jerky, and that is not healthy or desirable.
you will get plenty of fresh air exchange through a hole 1x3 inches, and your temps will be MUCH easier to control, as will your soil, and overall humidity.
