1) At least once per day.

2) Yes, but with a small water volume you need to change half the water every day (including, of course, removal of ALL uneaten food) Do not use gravel or cleanup will be impossible.

3) Best bet is live blackworms if you can get them. See: http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/microfoods.shtml

4) I'm not sure for fire sals. I think it varies from weeks to months.
