I purchased one of these from PE at the Daytona show and its the best husbandry device I have ever purchased. I honestly do not know how I ever got along in the past without one. This is a GREAT product and a bargain at $35. I highly recommend to anyone here to get one if you haven't already.



I have noticed a few "quirks" with it though. It seems to work best and be the most accurate if pointed at a right angle to the desired spot of measurement and at less than 12- 16 inches away. When using it at anything other than a 90 degree angle or more than 12 - 16 inches away I often get wildly varying results. I don't know if the much more expensive laser pointed temp guns function the same way but I assume they both operate on some type of infa red and work more or less the same?
