Containers with tapered sides are unstable almost always (depends on the taper and height of the container) in their right side up position, if you put them upside down however (so the lid is on the floor of the tank), they will be much more stable since there's no pivot point for a moment (uhh... torque? not quite sure what the layman's term is, this is what mechanical engineering does to you) to act on. | ||
