Male vs. Female.. normal????

Ok..I have 3 geckos.. 1 of which I have had for about 2 years and I know is a girl, she lives alone. The two other I had housed together since I had gotten them both at the same time when they were babies. Recently the Albino took a chunk out of the others little head (it is now all healed up), so I seperated them. I am assuming they are both males, because they are fighting? The Albino has the bulges, but it is not certain. And I am not positive of the others sex. Anyways.. my main question was that, I put my 2 year old female in with the Albino this morning and he attacked her and had ahold of her neck. I had to seperate them.. he wouldn't let go!! Is it just that he is fiesty and doesn't like any company? I am trying to cut down cage space.. I know the possiblity of mating and I am ready for that.. but I was just wondering if it is normal for them to fight.. even if it is male vs. female. Hope this is not too confusing to understand. Thanks!!
