But, coupled with the soaking MAY be an indication that temps, particularly belly heat (undertank heat) may be too high. Make sure you have the proper temp range of low 80's to low-mid 90's. Use a thermometer, don't guess! Now, as it goes through the shed cycle, it'll get dull and the eyes will get cloudy blue-grey. A few days before it sheds it will appear less dull and the eyes clear. MAKE SURE your humidity is high during these few days by spraying with warm (not hot) water. If you do this you'll end up with a good shed. Good luck! Scott J. Michaels DVM | ||
