Back to my question- ever since I split them they have been going crazy trying to get out of the tank and watching the other tank. One of the girls on several occasions stares at the other tank with her mouth open like she is going to eat and stays that way for a while. Do they miss each other? I know everyone says they don't have feelings, but when they were in the tank together all 4 always slept together. Should I do anything or does anyone have any ideas.



My thoughts are that it is coming on breeding time and they are 'looking' for the opposite sex and likely aware of the others location.

Do they 'miss' each other. No, I don't think they are capable of that sort of complicated thought. I think they slept together because the spot was the best spot and they were 'competing' for it.
