I personaally use the later of the two. I thaw my frozens co,pletely to room temperature, then about ten minutes prior to feeding I put the mouse in hot water. then all I have to do is put the snake in the bathtub with the mouse about 6 inches a way,twitch the mouse with a chopstick once or twice, and that is it.
