Zoo-med is the only brand I use. Make sure you have proper wiring. You want to use a ceramic fixture and you might want to use a dimmer switch. That way you can get a high power heater and dial in the temp you need. The other choice is to use a thermostat so the heater turns on only long enough to maintain the temp you set it for.
