Her fat pads got depleted, even of fluids and collopsed. Once they do they are very hard to get built back up. Its the last place she will build back up, the tail being the first.



I ask about being gravid before this happened as that is the only time I have seen it happen on a young female. We think it is because they did not have the stored fat and fluids very long before the egg production and laying took it out of them.



I have never seen it happen to a dragon other than following laying. We see this happen with with some of the rehab dragons that become gravid shortly after recovering good health and the bio clock kicks in and starts egg production.
