I have a pair of veiled chameleon, I bought them off a guy who kept them in the same cage all the time so I quickly bought another cage. Not sure of their age. He didn't have a UVB bulb and not sure how well they were taken care of. I have had them for 3 months, and they are both doing great. They have grown so much. Both have 65 gallon repteriums, water falls, heat and UVB bulbs, many vines. They get crickets and waxworm dusted with calcium and vitamins. I tried to breed them 2 times but both times she was unreceptive. I just havn't tried again. Now she has been restless and walking on bottom trying to dig. I put her bucket of sand in there (like it was before) and she has started digging. I see her trying to squeeze something out, but I have not seen anything yet. She seems wrestless and will go back up to her vines and then back to the bottom. She just ate about 30 crickets in the past 48 hrs. I have read about "egg bound" how long does it take for a chemeleon to lay eggs. When should I become concerned if she still is exhibiting this behavior. There is a very good exotic vet here (I take my hamsters to her) but I don't know her extent of knowledge on veiled chameleons. Her color is still bright green. Thanks for the advice.
