I don't see why not. Except I might worry about it being too humid in the tank and leading to RI. They might light to burrow in it. Not sure how easy it would be to spot clean feces and urates. Also, when they do urinate, liquid is often expelled first and then some of it dries into the urate solid we see. I'd be concerned about the liquid part staying in the moss and any problems that might arise from that. I use spaghum moss in a humid hide for my Kenyan Sand Boa during shed (my bp won't use a humid hide). It always seems that when I first put it in and wet, a couple of days later I have what looks like mold growth. I have to rinse it in hot water and I don't have the problem again.



Hmmmm. I dunno. I don't think I've heard of a BP owner using it as substrate (I know some Rainbow Boas do-but they're high humidity snakes). I'd be interested to hear what others say.
