HELP!!!!!!.......

I was at my freinds house, who breeds herps, takeing apart one of his racks he sold to me, when near the end on takeing it apart I spotted a young carrottail. I showed hime to my freind and he said I could keep him since he was skinny and must have gotten out a while ago. Well anyways, I took him/her home and setup a rubbermaid shoe box for em'. Since then I added three appropriate sized crix for the leo to eat and it doesn't seem interested at all. What should I do, should I wait a while? I really don't want to lose this one it would be a $100 carrottail with about 45% carrottail.
