I live in the desert and things tend to be exrta dry out here. My corn has a wide water dish and I have a humidifier (bought it from the drugstore) that runs in my room. If I know she's going to shed, I move it close to her cage, as well as making a humidity hut. That works for us...just thought I'd throw in that sometimes your geographical location can dictate how much effort you must exert for this.
