Before I get to the sad part, i wanted to say that I enjoy reading the comments and looking at the beautiful pictures posted in this forum. Thank you for encouraging a new herp owner.

Now the sad news, earlier I posted about baby corn poo and what it was suppose to look like...well Ruby died this mourning. To make a long and nasty story short, I purchased Ruby from a Petco in Redding, CA (Icegoddess, I know you do not advise this at all, but she was there and it was love at first sight). But unfortunaley she had a internal parasite of some sort. After frantically trying to find out if the green poo is normal, on sat finally getting confirmation that it wasn't I took her back to Petco so they could take her to the vet (the guarentee they have) and Ruby died before the vet even had a chance to look at her this morning. What I would like everyone to know is that if one of your little guys/girls has please has this symptom, please do not wait but get a fecal sample and take them to the vet because this is really not normal. What the vet would have done is given her one to three shots of meds to hopefully get rid of the parasite, give her some elecrolytes (b/c she had not eaten at all since I got her) and wait to see if she got better.

sorry for the book, i just wanted to give a detailed post for someone like me that might come along and need it to save their new friends. Because no one should have to look at an empty tank...

Jamie
