I have three of them the 23"x11". I have two of them in 6 foot long by 30 inches deep by 18 inch high cages. One in each cage mounted on the top of each cage. The third one is mounted to the top of a hood that I made for a 50 gallon aquarium. They are all ran through thermosats. I do keep my snake room at about 75 to 80 degrees with an oil filled heater. This way the heat panels don't have to work as hard. I haven't had any problems with them as of yet, but if I have to heat the cages without the room heater then I'd go with something higher watt rated. But this has just been my own experience and opinion sofar. Marty Hartman
