Well, I guess I have to disagree with you... I've never heard of any adult beardie only 7-8 inches long! Are you including the tail in this measurment? If not, then this is just a misunderstanding.

How do these tiny beardies look? Do they have the spikes and appearence of an adult beardie, or do they still look like small juveniles who haven't developed? Are you sure they're 100% healthy? Have you had all tests done? Are you sure they are normal bearded dragons, and not rankins or another smaller species?

Of course, they could just be born with some kind of defect which prevents them from growing, or it could be the result of inbreeding, but either way this size is most definitly not normal, and the cause should be investigated, in my opinion.
