It would make sense that their skin would be somewhat porous, just like humans, but the amount of water that could be absorbed through the skin would be minimal at best. I only use the water bath for shedding uros. I have a (now don't laugh) "uro sauna" which I made from a rubbermaid shoe box with a dozen holes drilled in the sides. I put nice 100 degree water in there to the proper height, put the cover on and let them sit 15-20 minutes, always supervised. It gets kinda steamy. It works amazingly well to help them shed. The old skin just rubs off as I gently dry them with terry towels. | ||
