bearded dragons don't need playmates. They are quite content to be in their cage alone. They don't mind interaction with you, their owners but for the most part, they are quite content alone. Presenting them with something new, like taking them out of their cage to explore a room (minus any dangers to them like the pet dog or cat, cracks and cranies they can crawl into and get stuck or just make it hard for you to get them out) is all the 'play' they need a couple times a week. Even getting one of those 'playpen' things for dogs maybe alright, though you will have to make sure the dragon can't squeeze through teh bars. SHould never leave it unsupervised when out of it's cage anyway.

There are no reptiles to my knowledge that are social, that require being housed with another of it's kind to be happy. The only time reptiles congregate is during mating season. Well maybe marine iquanas, komodo dragons and some crocodilians are more social than other reptiles but giving the size these animals get, you certainly wouldn't want them as pets. (need a full sized swimming pool to keep several adult crocodiles happy).
