I agree with just about everything that was said before. Leopard geckos ARE a very good beginner lizard. However, in my opinion, they don't have half the personality that Uros have. We have 3 mali uromastyx, and they are all sources of great amusement. Definitely read up on how much time you need to invest in keeping your lizards happy and healthy. If you can handle it, I say go for it. Uros are very rewarding and fun lizards, both to care for and to interact with.
