I have had them for one year already.I dont think they are difficult to raise! I think most people cannot raise them because they put them in a very cold aquarium or raise them in the water.I raise them in soil, in a 78/84F and i never had trouble raising them!



Besides the Verrucosus and Shanjing i bought 2 weeks ago 3 Paramesotriton hongkongensis.They are doing great too, but i raise them in soil,too.The problem raising VERRUCOSUS in soil is that they become obese very easily.We must be extra careful not to give them too much food!My verrucosus can eat each one 3 superworms by meal, one after the other!lol!
