If it's inside of the cage just make sure that the beardie can't reach the bulb. If it's on the outside of the cage and the beardie can't get to it then I wouldn't be worried as long as your basking temp are correct. And if the basking bulb is a mercury vapor bulb that has a minimum required distance, then make sure to follow the manufactures suggestions. For example, the minimum distance for a 100 watt Powersun (flood) bulb is 12 inches. [ Hide Replies ]
