Is the bulb on the inside of the cage or is it sitting on a screen top? If it's inside of the cage just make sure that the beardie can't reach the bulb. If it's on the outside of the cage and the beardie can't get to it then I wouldn't be worried as long as your basking temp are correct. And if the basking bulb is a mercury vapor bulb that has a minimum required distance, then make sure to follow the manufactures suggestions. For example, the minimum distance for a 100 watt Powersun (flood) bulb is 12 inches.
