Can someone straighten me out on calcium D3

Jess eats salad, juvi rep-cal pellets, and silkworms for added protien. I dust all with the exception of the pellets. She also has uvb lighting. I have have read that too much D3 is harmful and too little is harmful. Am I doing too much? I dust her food daily since she is just under 3 months old. What do you recommend?
