You have to soak the block in warm water to get it to expand, then to use it for a beardie you would have to let it dry out completely to avoid humidity problems. In old tanks with no frogs the dry stuff gets really dusty. I do not think it would be too good for beardies. I am not sure why you would want to when there are a lot of better alternatives out there. It is designed to retain moisture, so why use it in a desert set up? Just my two cents, others may have different opinions. | ||
