I was in the home depot today looking at this very same thing. I don't know the prices on glass, but the lexan and plexiglass went anywhere from 2-4 dollars for smaller sized (8x12 I guess)lexan to 60.00 for the very largest plexiglass (4x6 ft x 1/4) The lexan I was told is 120 times stronger than glass, but it seemed very flimsy. I'm sure it would work great framed. I'm looking into making a completely plexiglass enclosure for my ball python. So any advice you have I would appreciate. Hope my info helps some.
