opening their mouth?

ive got pinworm medicine that is given orally... i can not get her mouth open and i tried putting it on mealworms during feeding time but she dislikes the taste and i dont want her to stop eating mealies... how should i open her mouth? the doctor used somewhat of a paper clip and just wedged it in there but i dont have the tool he uses...
