Male bit Female tonite.

Just 5 minutes ago, my male bit my female in the chest part.she was on her back and he was biting her.Till he let go and she took off.They are too young to mate, at about 22 grams each.I know leos are safe to breed at around 30 grams or 35.Shud i get a divider to seperate them till she gains weight ? Anyone went thru this ?
