That guy is full of it, my Capture the Suns burned out in only a few weeks, the same way you described. My Powersuns last forever. Capture the Suns are pro-rated, so they charge you for the time you used. Powersuns are fully warenteed for a year. I bought my Powersuns from bigappleherp.com
