I have used both these bulbs and some other lesser know name "knock offs".

The cheaper brands had that same problem of becoming loose, flickering and not being useable. I have had shortened lifespan issues but that was mostly in the beginning. I have had no problem with any of the T-Rex or Zoomed bulbs as of late.

The one thing thatI would advise-



There is a minimum safe distance listed on the instruction sheet of these bulbs-
