First things first. snakes like walls so look around on the floor up against the walls and in corners, also under everything. If you still havent found him you gotta use what i like to describe as guerilla tactics. Get some of those shopping plastic bags that make alot of noise when you smash them and crumple them up in corners up against the wall also set up some pop cans and at night just turn off all the lights and when and if you hear one of them crinkling it may be him. A way of luring him in with a mouse is to get a 2 liter pop bottle. Put a few live pinkys into it and set it up against the wall (put a plastic crumpled up bag i'd say maybe 6 - 12 inches from the bottle on both sides and make sure the bottle is up against the wall) hopefully if he is hungry he will pick up the scent of the pinks. I have found luck in blacking the bottle out with masking tape. 1.) because it acts as a hide 2.) all sides of the snake will touch the inside of the bottle so it will feel more secure. (note: if it was a baby use a 20oz bottle instead of a 2 liter. good luck. hope this helps. [ Hide Replies ]
