Posted by: meretseger at Wed Feb 18 01:36:27 2004 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by meretseger ] In very bad situations I've always found that putting the snake in a relatively close-fitting plastic container (a rubbermaid or delicup with airholes, depending on size) with a wet heavy paper or cloth towel for not less than 2 hours does wonders. The snakes just seem to take up more moisture than they do when sitting in water, and they don't mind it so much. Then you can use the towel to rub the remaining shed off without getting bitten up. A permanent moist hide in the tank might be a good idea if the snake will use it- I don't keep this species yet. | ||
