The temp controler will keep turning and turning if yours has stoped then maybe the little metal thing attached to the temp cotrolar that looks like a screw you can turn, two parts of it stick up so you can turn it to tighen the temp controlar bar so it doesn't turn nymore when you get the temp you want.

What I am trying to say is check if yours is tightned already. Maybe that is why you can't turn it any more.

Also how are you measureing the temp?
