Well the vet said that the humidity levels were just too low here in Chicago during the winter. Since the humidity levels dropped, I should spray my snake a couple times a week with water. The dryness was the reason for the wrinkled appearance of the scales. The white/grey spots the vet thought to be fungal at first. But, after a skin scraping, he came back and said it was hypomelanism. So - genetic nothing to worry about and just started showing up since he is reaching a year old. Thought I would let everyone know. Wolfcharmer, the humidity could be a factor in your snake's wrinkled appearance too.
