a "living vivarium" is not very good for a BP. Unless you have a VERY sturdy plant, the bp will just wreck it.
The urate will soak into the dirt and eventually the dirt will become filthy with bacteria. So unless you have LOTS of time to keep it clean. Then you will have a hard time keeping up with it. You have to find out what plants are safe, then you have to CARE FOR THE PLANTS as well, they have to have proper humidity, and lighting. So that means possibly investing in a UVB light.
The best thing for a "natural" looking cage is the fake plastic plants. Your bp will eventually outgrow your 30 gal tank, and will need the MIN. of a 40 gal breeder tank. ----- 1.1 Ball Python, 0.1 motley amel corn, 1.0 western hognose
