I think that was meant completely as humor. As for corns catching birds, can't say I have seen it done nor do I recommend releasing live birds in a corn's tank. (much more risk the bird would fly out of the cage before the snake can catch it). There are some snakes out there that can do this, Seem to remember seeing a show about some sort of snake snatching bats out of the air.
