I think the tinted windows would be beneficial. Although if the snakes are flighty in the first place when handled I do not know if the addition of view reducing tint would help you. As someone said already the animals kept in racks with smaller/reduced viewing area were more flighty, and I do not think a large retic/anaconda/burm/Insert large boid) would be the best idea.
