OK

first you need an under tank heat source. It can be a specially made undertank heater or a normal heat pad or heat tape. It needs to be under 1/4 to 1/3 of the tank.

You need a substrate. Aspen shavings are my choice.

You can use aspen shavings, newspaper or paper towels.

I would stay away from repti bark, cedar shavings and pine shavings. Not worth the risk.

you need a water bowl big enough for the snake to soak in.

You need two hides. One for the warm end of the tank and one for the cool end of the tank.

They make water bowls that have holes in the side that also double as hides. You can place one on the cool side of the tank.
