My gray band did not eat from October until this morning! I was concerned and had her examined by a good snake vet. She checked out ok and no parasites. I kept offering her f/t mice, fuzzies, and even pinkies. I even tried the exposed brain trick (yuck). Nothing seemed to work. Then last week she actually put her mouth on a mouse but regected it. Today she ate a young small f/t mouse! This was the first time I offered food in the AM. Try anything. For me this is what worked: I came into work and found her exploring the cage. I stopped my normal coffee routine and offered her food. Happy snake. I agree with the previous post. Don't worry unless your snake starts to thin out. I've watched my snake drink water on a regular basis so I was not too worried. Good luck and let us know what happens. | ||
