I have a problem with my SS. On Sunday he was on my bed. He fell off and I didn’t find him for several hours. He was in another room. When I found him he didn’t appear injured in anyway. He was out of the water until Thursday when I went to put him out side in his cage. He didn’t want to move and all round his shell and the under side his arms and around his head were all bright red. (On the under part of his shell it looked like you could see hundreds of little blood vessels). He would not open his eyes. (Sorry my computer broke or I would post pics). I put him out in his pool but after watching him he moved very little and I was afraid he would drown. I put him in a very short Rubbermaid container with water and a worm. On Friday he seemed a little better he opened his eyes and kept his head just on the level of the water. By Sunday he seemed even better some of the redness under his shell was gone. Yesterday under his shell was still red but when I put him in his pool he would stick his head up for air but after about two hours he got on his rocks out of the water. The weather was nice (about 70). I just don’t know what this is about. I don’t know if he could have been hurt when he fell off the bed or if he just needed water. Has this ever happened to someone’s SS or does anyone know what this could be from?
