Any group of chams will stress each other with one usually becoming dominant and hogging (or even defending) the basking spots, the food, the best hiding spots, drippers etc. The subordinant chams eventually lose condition, get sick, and/or die from stress. In the wild the subordinant chams have the choice to leave and find a new territory. Captive ones don't. Even if you offer multiple basking spots or feeder cups the presence of the dominant cham can still cause problems. Every once in a while someone has 2 chams that get along, but it is the exception. | ||
