Kane heat mats are a good suggestion. Another supplier you might check out makes Stanfield heat pads. More info here.



Regarding heat panels, the guy at Helix Controls (sorry, I can’t recall his name) told me you can “hose down” their product, so perhaps they would be suitable for outdoor installation.

>>hello, i live in central florida where the winters are very short but there are a couple nights a year that dip below freezing. i just finished an outdoor enclosure that is 8x8' with a partition down the middle creating two 4x8 cages: one for the redfoot and one for the red tegu. what are my options as far as heating goes. i need something that will hold up in the rain. radiant panels arent supposed to be used outdoors. ceramic emmiters are expensive and require lots of electricity especially since i would need more than one for each side of the cage. i dont know about the under tank heat pads, arent they supposed to be stuck to the glass? i need something that i can bury under the cage for ground heat, and maybe a light or emmiter of some sort for overhead radiant heat. what would you suggest?
