This is bad. There are only 2 reasons listed in "What's Wrong with My Iguana?" by Dr. Rossi. 1) Poison, or 2) a swallowed hair hung up in the ig's throat. However, there is a third reason, that we have experienced with our iguana, Iggi. It is called "Twisted Gut". It is when a loop of intestine gets out of place, and twisted, and the ig can't pass the food through it. Iggi vomited her food up too, and we took her to the vet. Our vet wanted to operate, and physically untwist the loop of intestine. We asked if there was a way with medicine to try first, and he suggested Mylacon drops. This is a liquid anti-gas medicine for infants. We tried 2 drops every 4 hours or so. It worked!! However, even if you try this, PLEASE take you ig to your vet ASAP, for an Xray and checkup. Good luck! Keep us posted on how things turned out. ----- Lamar, Debbie, Nathaniel and Iggi :>~
