getting my leo a buddy???

For the last four years I was sure my leo was a male. After a recent vet trip we found out otherwise and HER name has now changed from Rex to Rexy. I always wanted to get "him" a buddy but didn't want babies, and I know that males don't get along. I would really like to get another female but after four years? is it to late? will she be to territorial? any info would be helpful



Also if I do get another female I would like her to be the same size, full grown. I only ever see babies in pet stores and also really don't want to purchase from a pet store.
