mouth rot and feeding

I have a 30 inch texas rat that has very minor mouth rot i used a 50:50 solution of peroxide and water on the moth rot then removed all the debride and i am now applying betadine 2x a day how long should i have to do this.Also can i feed him 1 appropriate sized mouse evry 7 days
