Hi Jason, thanks for the info. Of course I am interested in it. But even more importantly the other forum memebers undoubtedly are as well.

You might be able to get a general guestimate on those rats if you go by a basic rule of size. Most people have the same idea on what a "medium" rat is, as well as large and jumbo and etc. Most medium rats would fall somewhere around 1/4 pound (4 or 5 ounces) if my memory isn't failing me. Large rats would be right around a half pound ((7 to 9 ounces), and jumbos would likely be 3/4 to 1 pound (12 to 16 ounces). So if you go by this standard you can get a rough average of growth. Not accurate in a scientific capacity,.. but info nontheless.

So if we go by this standard,... the 6 medium and 10 large rats your burm ate should come to approximately 6 1/2 pounds. If he grew 18 inches then it equates to roughly 3 inches per pound ingested. Not bad, huh?

Keep up the record keeping buddy.

>>On 1/5 my burm shed, I measured him and he was 4'4". He ate 6 meals, all medium rats, one at a time, and shed again on 2/6. He was 5'1" when I measured him on 2/7. He at 10 meals after he shed, all large rats, some 2 at a time. He shed again on 3/6, and when I measured him he was 5'10". Just thought I would share some info on how much my burm is growing and how quickly. This constitiutes into 1'6" of growth in almost exactly 2 months, and only eating 16 meals. All the meals leave lumps in him that are about 1.5 times his girth.

>>

>>Damon, I have not been able to weigh the meals, like we discussed about 5-6 posts down. I fed him again last night though and he ate 2 jumbo rats, at about .75 lbs a piece. I will keep everyone updated on the weight of the food I am feeding and how much of that goes into growth, if you are interested.

>>

>>Just some info I thought I would share,

>>Jason
