****Question about lighting for sick dragon*****

Well that dragon I just adopted is hardly mobile at all...What I need to know is can I set the light fixture inside the aquarium (iguanalight 5.0 flueroescent) and place it so that the bulb is facing outward instead of downward so that the light hits the dragon??? Will it have the same effect? I don't know what else to do otherwise..I am going to house him in a 29 gallon for now until I can get him back on his feet but I want the full effect of the bulb to get to him and he can't climb to bask so he won't be able to get close to the bulb...Let me know...ttyl!!!!!!!!!
